Local Rules
(To be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf)
- OUT OF BOUNDS: All ground beyond the Club's boundary fence is out of bounds. Rule 27-1 applies.
- TREES: If a staked tree or staked shrub interferes with a players stance or the area of his intended swing, the player MUST take relief as provided in Rule 24.2b(i)
- PATHS: All paths, except gravel, artificially surfaced roads & paths are integral parts of the course
- SPRINKLER HEADS: All fixed sprinkler heads and satellite stations are immovable obstructions under Rule 24.2b. If a ball lies within 1 club length of such an obstruction or within two club lengths of the putting green being played, but not in a hazard and intervenes on the line of play between the bal and the hole, it may be lifted and dropped in accordance with Rule 24.2b.
- GROUND UNDER REPAIR, GARDEN BEDS ANDTEE SURROUNDS: Play is PROHIBITED in marked G.U.R. areas. Relief MUST BE taken as per Rule 25.1. Garden beds and tee surrounds are declared as G.U.R. areas
- STAKES, ROPES, HOOPS & HOSES: are to be treated as immovable obstructions and relief may be taken under Rule 24.2.
- STAKE MARKINGS: Water hazards - yellow, lateral water hazards - red, G.U.R. white stakes and/or lines (refer Rule 26). The stakes are to be treated as immovable obstructions and are in the hazard.
Temporary Local Rules will be posted on the Local Rules Notice Boards.
Penalties for breaches of Local Rules
Match Play - Loss of Hole. Stroke Play - Two Strokes
Distance markers: 150 metres to centre of green.
Etiquette
- Players must give way to ground staff
- In case of lightning, for your own safety, please evacuate the course immediately
- Ball lost - call players through
- Repair divots and ball marks
- Keep buggies off tees and greens
- Smooth out bunkers
- Avoid slow play, keep pace with the group in front
- Motorised carts are to be kept to the paths and rough wherever possible and are not to be driven within 10 metres of the Greens.
